handicare stairlift problem any clues ?

hi all my favorite aunty has a handicare freecurve stairlift and according to google ai it has a diagnostic system as normal not available for public use but is called techtool as she cannot get any sense or help from the council who funded it nor the installer i would like to try and help her fix it,im going over to have a look and would help to be armed with some diagnostic software,cheers for any help :joint cheers

What is the problem she is having? More description of what the issues are would possibly allow us to suggest things to check even w/o the fancy secret diagnostics tool...

Definitely start by looking at all the connections and wiring - make sure the contacts are clean and secure, etc. Possibly look at the batteries to see if they are old (and make sure the charging for them is working)

Make sure any tracks and gearing etc. that it runs on are clean and lightly lubed (see you manual about what you need for lubrication)

90% of your diagnostics are going to be the same basic tactics as you use for power chairs... (And most other devices...)
