For what its worth almost all chairs with R-net with more than 1 seating actuator have an ISM6-L fitted. Its a 6 channel seating actuator. And a lights, indicators actuator too. Stands for: Intelligent Seating Module (with) 6 (channels) and L (for Lighting).
This doesent apply to permobil, or a few rare seating systems with memory settings etc. But in the majority of chairs with seat lift, tilt etc. No problem.
Now, some chairs only use SOME or the 6 channels. More on that later!
So if you dont have lights, or want 12 or 24V output to drive lights, OR OTHER THINGS that need less than about 35 watts max, (such as maybe a 12V supply for a camera or something) then you can connect directly to the ISM6-L actuator. And the LIGHTs switch will turn it or the lights ON/OFF directly.
You can also run things off any UNUSED seating channels. Do you have 6 actuators? Or less...
A seating actuator module like the one below has the seating and lighting channels marked as 1 to 6 channels, and a bit set asside on the right for any inhibit switches etc. And at the left end there are a few connections marked for lights.
The typical automotive 6.3mm blade connectors (1/4 inch ones if you are americanese) are a perfect fit.
You need just 2 wires to do each set of back/front lights.
And the same wth indicators (if you bother!).
Note that these can be programmed to be 12V or 24V. If you dont have a programmer then use a volt meter and wire the lights accordingly. They can be in series, or parallel or you can change voltage in programming. But its easy enough to figure out regardless.
See ISM6-L below.
Its the component on the left... You see the two red dots? Theres some rubber plug covers next to them. Remove rubber (pull) to reveal lighting terminal blade ready to connect. The cables already plugged in is the seating loom. You need not touch any of that.
This is a full system used on most high end chairs. Joystick, Power Module, seating/lighting module (ISM6-L.
And a few plug and play cables. Not complicated is it?
And these things available everywhere can be used to connect to it.
