If I am getting a PM bad cable 7f00 error when I plug in one joystick and not another, is it safe to say it is the joystick cable?

Or maybe the joystic end needs a spray of switchcleaner? Or is a faulty joysick. Be careful some joystick cables are not removable without a soldering iron.

The chair still works but, just alternates ISM and JSM errors.

How would I know if the cord can be unplugged from the bottom of the joystick?

If it doesent unplug easily like a normal r-net cable its soldered! ALL my 3 in use on sunrise chairs are non removable. All the three spare ones I have in a box are the same. Only ever saw one that was removable. Open it and look if need be.

Well they are all removable really, just needs an iron.

Take apart. Or remove if removable. Order new if removable, or get replacement from PGDT and/or fix it if not.

I might get a cable on ebay or fix it as not cheap!

This shows the permobil joystick (he thinks its a smaller version of the CJSM2 but its really branded and made for permobil alone) has a removable cable. But he may be wrong. I saw a removable one once and I am sure it wasnt permobil but a real CJSM2 but I could be wrong, wasnt paying attention.

If its not removable, then it actually still is, you just need a soldering iron. Only 4 wires not hard to do. Well I didnt actually do it, but I have seen it internally. Should be easy enough.
