R-Net controller connector/plug type? (photo)

Hi, this is the power/battery connector for R-Net controller. I would like to buy a new connector and wire silicone wire directly into rather than trying to modify this one. Can you buy them online; ebay, aliexpress, etc?

From PG directly yes. I just use automotive blade connectors in the correct size and cover with heatshrink for safety from shorts.

That's a good idea BM.

You mean something like this, the correct size female to fit on the male blade on the controller.

Thanks

I will use them.

I want to leave the sunrise lead brick - r-net controller harness intact. Just in case needed at some later date, although I can't imagine why. I would never go back to lead acid batteries.

You can still use it. It comes apart at a connector. Or just buy any sunrise batt harness one on eBay.

Silicone isnt a good idea on a battery harness as its insulation is weaker and easily damaged.

Fair point, and I do agree with you about silicone insulation being softer than pvc.

I shall have a ponder...

Perhaps using silicone isn't so important now that prismatic cells have welded terminals? Whereas previously with the shallow m6 aluminium threads which weren't particularly robust and silicone being much more flexible and easier to bend put less strain on terminals than stiff pvc cables? Anyway that was my thinking when I wired up my existing cells.
