It's because managers are pushing AI so hard on the SWEs so they get slop in return. Major problem within the industry.

Well I am sticking to 10 IoT LTSC as its full supprt till 2032 and already talk of extending that beyond 32 because so many very costly embeded critical systems devices use it. From the cash hole in the wall machines and airports Air Traffic Cont. across the world, and hundreds of other embedded systems. To big blocks and networks used by everything from offices, to traffit systems.
They are refusing to update to 11 LTSC and its gor a shorter renewal cycle anyway! Because of the problems with associated drivers, time, problem solving etc for no actual gains. I have 11 LTSC, installed it, fought with it for a month and gave up. Its a royal pain to fight with and I cant stand it. Even though its better than the normal 11.
After 2032 if its not extended, then hopefully MS will have some other critical system operating system that works as AN OPERATING SYSTEM and nothing else! Or I might be gone by then! Im 65.
I have a positive dislike for ads. Cloud based anything. Renting anything be it software or houses, etc. I want an operating system to fire up, and then do NOTHING. Unless I tell it to. And I do not want *ANY* built in or bundled software at all. I want no accounts no telemetry, no AI, nothing. Certainly no "metro" apps. I want it to have no TPU or TPU2 and no bitlocker, nothing at all that is locking anything unless I choose to implement it. I dont want any telemetry, any accounts, and I want to then install all the software that I CHOOSE only. So pretty much like a modern secure fast 64 bit and very stripped out Windows 7.
At the moment my LTSC IoT 10 64 bit is pretty much that - at least till 2032. Win 11 is just a massive day to day fight against all its restrictions, bad interface, and its endless automated telemetry and its AI. No good.

I use a cheap flip phone. I have a smart phone with no sim in it. To use for a "smart" device controller. Its like windows 11. It has so many "permissions" and interconnected services running in the background that its busy sending a million things to google and every ap installed all the damned time. Its a massive security hazard and tracking device (it literally knows you are on the bog because of the time you are stationary and its GPS) and reprts that to god knows who. Android is free because it's googles little spy. And now THAT updated itself a while back with some MANDATORY update thats got AI to better track you. Not only that just like 11 its has millions of nags, and ads included built into whatever you install. SMART THINGS keeps trying to tell me it can use AI to save money, and then pushes an ad that you have to dismiss... All the smart home apps are the same shit. I refuse everything that has any ad no matter how infrequnt in my stuff. Likewise nags to buy a better version or whatever.
When I BUY a product or download software that comes with a device I BOUGHT then I want NO ADS ever. I have no need to sign in to GOOGLE or to MICROSOFT or anything else on LTSC Windows 10. It doesent try and force Ai on me. It allows all tracking to be turned off or removed. It doesent have ADS or try and push me to microsofts services or products.
Everything was already as good as it got a decade ago software wise. Todays "improvements" are just the shitification of software to extract traffic, money, data or something from you and the experience is infuriating. If macs were not so locked down and wouldnt run anything useful, or iphones or "i" anything were not just as bad and forcing you into apples stupid infrastructure/accounts etc then you could go there. But its the same crap.

Use a pixel if you want a smartphone and install Graphene OS... i use too LTSC 10 2021 5 years almost.
A partial help. But you still need the google store etc... And he says it reminded him a lot of messing with linux. An operating system as a hobby for beirdy weirdos.
We need a third option. And one where all apps are side load only and with NO tracking or ads allowed.
Also pixels have no battery life. My "smart" phone has a 10.5Ah battery and I charge it every 2 to 4 weeks.

Old doro one. 2 for about 40 euros, and they have a months standby battery. A REAL keypad, they do calls and SMS only. 3 or 4G, Pay as you go, and 2 £10 top ups lasts 12 months or so. I bounce them, run over them, they keep working!
This is very similar, can find mne. Theres many different ones.

Hi, I'm currently downloading Windows 10 IoT Enterprise LTSC 2021. But do you know if PG Drives software for VR2 works OK in Windows 11?
(nowadays I'm programming my VR2 with an original cable in Windows 10 Home with no problems).
Hi, I already installed Windows 10 IOT LTSC on my laptop. Works perfect. I have not activated it, I don't if it is really necessary. The massgrave web explains how to activate it but I'm concerned it is not a safe activation.

If you don't activate it, you won't receive updates. Depending on how you use the OS, updates may be unnecessary. An operating system without updates can be a major headache.

Do you know if the massgrave activation is safe?

It's the safest (free) activation I know of.

Yes. And essential, it turns the LTSC into the LTSC IoT version and permanantly activates it. Or you wont get that extended 2032 updates and support.
Almost all program crack aquired from the RIGHT SOURCE are safe. The anti virus attacks them because they use something called heuristics. That finds virus "like" activities. So a typical crack for a program injects or deletes or modifies an executable or dll file or two in order to make the thing work without paying... That injecting a bit of code is also what a virus does. So the antivirus programs think its an actual virus.
So the first thing I ever do is install windows. Then use the various included programs in my zip/rar file above to disable real time defender antivirus. And I LEAVE IT THAT WAY. I have never had a virus in 25 years.
Then it wont try and stop your various hacks an mods or go around deleting them as you use them!
This is all basic stuff to those of us that dont always use legitimate software.
