Help - wizard software and cables for rhino 2

Postby Presland123 » 07 Feb 2026, 15:18

I am a mobility scooter/wheelchair independent repairer based in Peterborough and have tried and tried to replicate the cables and software used across the range of models. Woody RIP made me some cables which worked fine, but my van got broken into and the cables and laptop were stolen when on a repair.

I have manged to re-load the software and make cables (thanks to help in this site) for the SD drive and curtis controllers, but I just can't make a cable that will work on the Rhino2 (and ideally the original rhino) controllers. I have the cracked wizard 5 software but I just cant make the complex cables (whilst I understand scooter/wheelchair electrics I am not skilled in making circuit boards). Ideally it would be both the molex plus and also the 3 pin plug to connect to wheelchairs.

If anyone could assist me in making the necessary cable, it would really be appreciated by my (and my customers) as it helps me to personalise the settings for that individual. If anyone can help, please PM me with options/costs etc.

Thanks David (mobility maintenance peterborough).

If you read my post properly, I am not a dealer, an individual who tries to help people with mobility needs. I would't get the use of the correct expensive cables and even if I could, this cost would be passed onto my customers which defeats what i try to achieve (cost effective repairs).

When is an individual a business? Beats me.
They should sell you a cable.

I was a sole trader for most of my life. Thats still a business. I have still got accounts with many companies 29 years after injury. Including some mobility related ones.

My name is David and I am the owner of Mobility Maintenance Peterborough and my company has over 15 years’ experience in maintaining and repairing a wide range of mobility scooters in Peterborough and the surrounding area.

I wasnt trying to be rude. If you cant make a cable, woody no longer can, then buying a cable from a manufacturer would seem the sensible option. There may not be any other option. A cable isnt expensive. The full kit with software etc is.

But with that attitude you are free to go wherever you want.
