Hi All from Robint
I am an Ebike (Agattu years ago) and mobility scooter user for 10 years (Shoprider, TGA sport rider, Mini crosser, Gogo portable). Owning and using a mobility scooter for outdoor use can present a number of significant problems well beyond the scope of an average senior. If any inexperienced member want my 2c worth of "buyer beware" I can probably make a sheet of bullet points and also some hazardous experiences. The ultimate fiasco is the "Stranded on the pavement" situation.
IMHO you may be better off (if its possible in your area) to rent a scooter on a weekly basis (not a long term deal unless you can easily cancel the payment if you are unhappy with service - be careful because its not so easy to cancel a credit card agreement if you have signed up to a contract - Paypal is much simpler)
Anyway I wont rant on about all this as it may give me a bad image
Better perhaps to pm me
I hope a scooter user is allowed here, Im not in a wheelchair (yet) but most of my concerns are of a technical nature, batterys, electrics, wheels etc which generally have common cause with motorised wheelchairs AFAIK. I do my own repairs and have a modest workshop (although this has become physically more demanding of late with advancing arthritis)
