Buying advice

Postby Scott A » 27 Jul 2025, 23:09

Hello everyone, glad to be here. I’ve been using a wheelchair for eleven years due to a neck injury. My old amypower chair has seen better days. I found a Quickie s636 for $500 on craigslist. The seller says hardly used and pictures seem to confirm that. He says batteries haven’t been charged in a couple years and now won’t take a charge. The chair is located about 150 miles from me. So hoping for some advice on how to proceed. I did ask if he would be ok with me bringing and installing batteries, not that I want to do that but thinking if he agreed he was at least being honest. Anyway if anyone has any suggestions I’d love to hear them. Thanks

At that price in good condition you cant really go wrong.

I would just do it and figure it all out later.

At that price you cant really go wrong.

It will need reconfiguring, programming, batts. But every chair does.
