WINDOWS 11 LTSC IoT 10 YEAR Licence and all the crap gone!

Postby Burgerman » 27 Jun 2024, 16:16

Currently testing and figuring this out.
This version DOES NOT NEED:
TPM, Secure Boot, tons of memory installed, etc etc. All thats been relaxed. Its the same as Windows 10 LTSC IoT that I have used for years. It canno be used to upgrade, full fresh install and a MAS file makes it "legal" indefinitely...

So time for 11!

More soon.

Eagerly awaiting. Win10 LTSC can not be run on my latest Tablet PC - it does not recognize the existence of the newest generation RealTec audio at all (not a driver problem, an enumeration problem with the Intel Ultra 7 155H or the HP Bios). So, it's running Win11 "tamed" with OOSU10 and saying "no" to everything I could find. I'm getting used to Win11, but would much prefer to have an LTSC version.

Well, it works perfectly. And the MAS 2.5 converter permanantly activates it, and theres a decade of support as long as you use the correct serial number on install. That turns it into
Win11 IoT-Enterprise LTSC 2024, 10y licence + Crack. No TPM Secure Disk, CPU stipulations or any other stuff needed. Will run without it.

But I didnt try that. Relatively modern machine. One person said that if you install without a supported machine and it allos this, then no updates? I wouldnt think that is true. But that wont be an issue for you anyway.

However it just reminded me that while its the best version of 11 you can ever get. Its still 11. And it infuriates me...

If you want a copy with a serial to install, etc then let me know. I tried an install, and chose KEEP ALL FILES AND SETTINGS and it simply upgraded windows. But kept all of my customisations, software etc. Nothing to do afterwards. Except try and find out where the hell it hides everything I wanted.

Why do they do that?

Let me know. Will do a 4GB zip or rar. OR and ISO you decide! You can install from inside windows so a folder zipped up is likely easiest?

CGK42-GYN6Y-VD22B-BX98W-J8JXD
Convert to IoT LTSC with this key. 10 years support.
Win 11 LTSC 5 YEAR SUPPORT.
Win 11 LTSC 10 YEAR SUPPORT IoT version. Otherwise almost the same.

https://massgrave.dev/windows_ltsc_link ... -ltsc-2024

DIFFERENCES BETWEEN ALL OF THE EDITIONS:

Reserved Storage is disabled in IoT Enterprise LTSC, which means that Windows Update will not be able to "claim" a part of your drive to use it exclusively for Windows Update-related operations

Automatic BitLocker Device Encryption is off in IoT edition

Status messages for installing updates are simplified in IoT edition. providing slightly less info of what's happening

Copilot force-disabled in IoT edition

Microsoft Edge is uninstallable in Enterprise LTSC edition, but not in IoT Enterprise LTSC edition

Support for 2 simultaneous RDP sessions in IoT edition

You can switch between the editions after installing Windows by opening MAS, going to Extras > Change Windows Edition and then rebooting your PC to fully apply the changes.

TLDR IoT edition is better.

Goes without saying that you should disable the MS antivirus and theres a small program inc that allows you to turn real time AV on/off.
And that you need to run the MAS crack as elevated ADMIN and thats it. Done. But still I hate it! Will stick with 10 LTSC IoT till 2032. If I am stll here...

In 4 to 5 hours, it will be here:

as thats how fast my server is allowing upload speed at the moment...

So dont download until I say its complete! :fencing

What does W10 LTSC have that W11 LTSC don't have?
W11 LTSC should be better...

An example.

They try to modernise it so it looks like its a "smart phone touch screen" type interface.

And they made it so that if all you do is use 3 programs or surf then its OK.

But god forbid you get a bit more involved as they seem to have hidden everything.
Even the things that should be easy to get to, your installed programs. I have absolutely loads of software that I use. All simple to find on the start menu. See below. But you cant do this in 11. It has a stupid central menu thing/square that has room for about 6 shortcuts. And everything else that you want access to has been hidden in obscure places. And then muc of it is hidden on purpose!

There used to be a registry hack that allowed you to get back the windows 10 menu below. But they disabled this so that you now cant do it. Anything more technical is practically impossible to find. You cant just right click and get a huge list of tech stuff, on the menues or the desktop. That was too easy!

Easy to get to programs. This is a few of them.
2.jpg
Some more. And look along the left, this is about 20% of the easy to get to programs. All listed and easy to find.
3.jpg
Along the bar at the bottom. Now theres only room for half as many... Because they are all spaced too far apart. IF you can find them in the forst place to add them here..
1629953677_win11-startmenu1.jpg
IN ELEVEN you get THIS! And thats it. You have to use the search box... But its not only the programs, its everything. They tried to make everything pretty and hid everything about 3 to 5 clicks behind the scenes. Well you are welcome to it!

I dont want it to "recomend" programs. Or have to keep cicking on the "more programs" buttons to see what else it might want me to click on. I want to see and choose. Its trying to be clever. Its not. Its useless! I dont want it trying to use AI to tell me what I need or what to download from the "app" store" or whatever I KNOW what I want. And its not cloud based, its not AI, its not all the automated nonsence. Its a simple operating system that just does what I tell it and that where everything is easy to find in 2 clicks.

PASSWORD FOR RAR FILE IS 123

And it is now complete! You will need winrar.

Here: www.wheelchairdriver.com/doomed/Download_This.rar

It is 8GB as I sent both the ISO file in case you wanted to make a boot install disk as well as the whole install setup ready to go. And there is the crack (MAS file) and a program to disable your windows defender so it doesent instantly delete the crack file! Bill gates doesent like the MAS thing much. And...

You can do a complete clean setup, or overwrite your exsisting 10 LTSC and keep everything.

1. Use the windows defender "turn on/off" real time protection.
2. Open the Rar file 123 - (password to stop my server AV here from deleting it!)
3. Disconnect from the internet.
4. Install using the serial in the readme file. (or above on this thread). It installs with the serial as the IoT LTSC version, as a TRIAL or DEMO for 90 days.

5. Use the MAS in the ESSENTIALS folder and run that AS ADMINISTRATOR (RIGHT CLICK IT, choose "RUN AS ADMINISTRATOR". Follow the permanant activation instruction on screen.

This can permanantly activate any windows version, and also any office version.
I have Windows Office 2024 if interested...
Since its a huge 8GB I will delete this in a day. My web hosting will freak out...

John,

What did I miss? When I try to unpack the RAR it asks me for a password. Is there one?

If it says corrupt then you are not using winrar, or you downloaded before it was complete... Or it became corrupted during download.
Password is 123

Please read above! https://www.wheelchairdriver.com/board/ ... 18#p203005

Will leave this for 24 hours. If it has any problems, then I will re-upload it?
Has anyone opened the rar file yet?

Then I will upload office 2024...
And photoshop latest.
And adobe raw latest.
And adobe lightroom latest.
if you want?

Obviously!

Will upload a version thats cracked but not newest one... This works reliably on all files.

2 versions...
http://www.wheelchairdriver.com/doomed/Winrar/ If you need the older one thats there too. I use the version 6 one.
Winrar is better than winzip for a bunch of reasons. Par files and error correction and ability to work even if a part is missing etc so I only really use this now.

In 24 hours I will delete this stuff. Unless someone else needs to grab it?

Clean install? Why? Just tell it to keep files and apps. It actually keeps all settings, customizations etc from your old 10 LTSC IoT perfectly.

It would take me a year and endless work to get everything configured this well starting from scratch.

i can try that also - i figure doing a clean install - i will know for sure - if i do it over Win 10 - who knows if my OS is 100 clean or could have some conflicts i am unaware of etc,

i been having some issues with the PL8 program and BT issues which maybe my OS having something to do with it

i cant say but its possible - its taking a long time to load lately - then keeps losing the BT connection - no data etc,

i tried a bunch of different things but never considered if its the OS

i dont have a ton of stuff that i do or install like you have - it may take me a day - an afternoon if all goes well to install the few programs i have - maybe i wont even install them all again

i figure i make a clean install - then do a back of it - keeping a clean install - untouched alone -

then install stuff i want etc, and make another image back up - sunday i may give it a shot

Small tip...
If you want to delete GBs of unwanted data and worse, about 50 thousand to 200 thousand small files, go here:
C:\Windows\servicing\LCU\
And delete everything found. It will take a while!
Normally there will be a backup of the older updates and huge rollup packages.
Periodically windows will delete one or more of these itself, and replace them with different ones as you do updates. Unless you plan on ever rolling back a major windows update these just waste space.
And if you do proper backups you dont need them anyway.

So go look and see just how many files are there! And be horrified. Mine is of course empty.

Because theres about 100 thousand of them! That slows many things.

And the 700MB you refer to is the actual file size. Since each one is typicaly just a few kb and your disk likely has 128 or 256 or 512k allocation unit size (and each can contain one file only) then the actual disk space it takes up is usually at least 10x this.

Ran into a smallish hitch installing Win11 IoT LTSC. When Burgerman did his install on top of Win10 LTSC, he had 3 choices re: what to do with existing programs and data: keep all, keep only data, clean install. When installing Win11 IoT LTSC on top of Win11, however, the first of these choices is greyed out. Choice no. 2 retains very few of the things I need. Every non-microsoft program in ProgramFiles and in ProgramFiles (x86) disappears.

Now I have to decide whether I want to spend a couple full days re-installing and configuring everything and being essentially unable to use the PC until that's all done. Given that there are some critical things going on now, I restored my backup image of Win11 for now.

You can ONLY do a perfect easy upgrade conversion from 10 LTSC IoT and not anything else.
Or clean install.

That's why I'm wondering if it's worth m while, at least given that I've pretty well "tamed" Win11 deleting, disabling, running OOSU, and not allowing updates unless I chose to allow a particular one.
