For those of you in the US wanting socialist style medical care.
The NHS cost the govennment (the tax payer) 180 BILLION a year. Thats 230 Billion dollars...
Considering that only approx 33% of the country work, (probably less in fact) and the rest are on benefits, children, retired, mothers, students etc, that means that every year every working person pays ON AVERAGE, £9000 pounds directly. And that doesent include prescriptions and other incidentals.
For that crazy amount, which is taken from wages, VAT, and many many taxes on people and businesses we get a completely unusable patchy service.
