Toilet elevator

Postby martin007 » 19 Jul 2024, 16:34

I need to increase the height of my toilet a minimum of 5 cm.

The only solution I can find is to buy this:

I listen to suggestions and comments.

You could get a 50mm block of wood, paint white, fit under the toilet. Cut to match of course.

My experience of PePe (aka Kmina) items is that it is very good. That is, the Kmina elbow crutches were good for the time that I could use crutches, and the PePe commode is far better than the NRS commode that the hospital issued me. So that's the brand I would prefer. But there are also others very similar on Amazon, if I remember correctly from considering a seat raiser last year.

It's impossible.
The screws that hold the toilet lid are very short.

Cut off and drill out the plastic toilet seat bolts and add longer thru bolts passing through the block of wood.

I think that Burgerman is suggesting making a spacer to fit between the toilet and the floor.

Yes.
And you screw the toilet to a block of wood. Paint it white. Then screw the toilet to the wood block.

Draw around the base of the toilet to get the shape. Cut it out with a bandsaw.

Option ruled out.
Thanks.

Perhaps a toilet seat riser would help. Here is an example: https://www.homedepot.com/p/HealthSmart ... lsrc=aw.ds
