Banana Plug Connectors

Hello.


I have bought some banana connectors to solder them to a cable.
That cable will go from shirley_hkg's PSU to the XLR connector on my powerchair.

The point is that the tip is rotating.
I thought the tip didn't turn.

Will this negatively affect the circulation of electricity?

Those are cheap and nasty. They will melt or cause intermittent connection.
Worse, you may connect them in reverse (bang on chair or supply). Or may plug them out and let them touch which will short out the chairs battery and will damage the joystick wiring internally.

Use an anderson connector. On rear. Or use an XT90 (FRONT).

Or RING terminals instead of banana. Fit and tighten so they dont unplug.

No but they all pull out and short the chair!

Buy decent set of test leads. Agilent, fluke, etc. No open ends, same reason, safety.

Needle probes are useful when cecking things such as cell voltages when plugged into a charger. From the back side of the connector.
