I have just bought a new Scooterpac Atom Power Chair and can't find out how to put the brakes in manual mode so I can push the chair by hand. Can anyone help?
Thanks for the response but I think we're at cross-purposes. My chair doesn't boast a throttle. The speed and direction I travel is dependent on a joystick.

Yeah I meant move the joystick any direction to disengage the brakes then flip the switch off.
Freewheel/Manual Mode To enable this mode, turn off the powerchair by pressing the power button. Press the Freewheel button. The red LED will activate. The powerchair can now be manually pushed. To re-enable the powered mode, press the power button.

That chair is featherweight. Even with batteries fitted. As they are the same tiny 5Ah as my laptop and lithium. Are you sure its not easier just to lift it? Shouldnt be much harder than 2 fingers. 10 or 12kg?
