Request for Compatible Enhanced Display Firmware (.cag) for

Postby Toshit » 02 Feb 2026, 10:04

Hi,

I have a Quantum 600 with a Q-Logic 2 Powerbase (v02.45). My Enhanced Display (1753-2309, firmware v04.02) is showing error #251: incompatible firmware.

Would anyone be able to share the compatible .cag firmware file (v04.00 or v04.01) so I can downgrade the display to match the powerbase?

Thank you in advance for any help.

Dont have anything to do with prides stuff. But thats a curtis instruments made control system. Pride dont make any electronics.

The part that you are needing is what? Firnware? I dont think thats what you mean. The firmware is usually added during manufacture of the power module, and joystick etc. The SETTINGS files or the settings, are programmable by users, dealers, OEMs all at different access levels. So not really sure what you are asking for. If it really is firmware I wouldnt know how that could be applied by an end user anyway.

So I think that you are really looking for a settings file for that chair. So presumably you have a programmer?

Yes, you're right—Pride/Quantum is just the OEM for the chair, but the Q-Logic electronics (including the Enhanced Display) are all Curtis Instruments under the hood. I appreciate the clarification.

I do need the firmware (.cag file) specifically for the Enhanced Display module (model 1753-2309). The chair's Powerbase is on v02.45, and the display I added is on v04.02, which is causing the "#251 incompatible firmware" error when connected. From what I've read on the forum and Curtis docs, downgrading the display to v04.00 or v04.01 should fix it, as those are compatible with Powerbase 02.45.

I have the Curtis 1314 dealer software and a programmer cable, so I can flash it myself (via the Update Firmware menu—I've done settings changes already, but I don't have the required cag files for the enhanced version). I also attached a screenshot for your reference.

Mainly I need the enhanced display firmware to get it working so I can set up my MicroGuide joystick properly.

This nonsense is why I only now use R-net chairs.

Once you have an OEM level programmer, you can buy any power module (the thing you/they are calling a power base is just a power module) and any joystick, any seating modules, external devices like OMNI or IO unit, or gyro, etc. All super cheap on eBay.

All work together. All just plug and play. If its r-net it will work. You dont even need the same jystick or seating module.

So I now have 4 chairs using R-Net. And all of these parts are interchangable chair to chair. And just so I never need to actually do that, I have a bunch of spares sat on the shelf.

All bought on ebay/here/other sites.
All 3 spare top of range fancy joysticks are new. All 4x 120A power modules and seating /lighting modules as good as new. And all programmed up and tested.
And a bunch (box) of spare cables, and other parts. Enough for 3 or 4 complete rehab powerchairs. The LOT complete cost me around £1k.

Non of this helps you now though.
And I dont know how.

The "power base" is just a power module.
Rnet modules look like this:

£45 a throw.
